No doubt, we could all benefit from some of these timeless ideas.Larry Garnetthttp://www.larrygarnettdesigns.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38363189.post-823143074172725822010-01-21T21:15:30.584-05:002010-01-21T21:15:30.584-05:00Thanks Matt - that is a wonderful idea. In some of the more recent plans I've actually gone to some length to build out the site model - see the Palo Alto and the Hus1 images for reference. Adding site sketches would certainly extend the value of the house plans, but we've had similar thoughts before about expanding the detailing of the interiors. At least for the present the priority is for expanding the range of house designs. I hope for the day when I can revisit these house designs to do what you suggest, but until we have more designs for more people we will probably concentrate on more houses.
In the meantime please enjoy the Lagom House site that we are developing as part of the contest.lavarderahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07241073948874188058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38363189.post-33154778520545510442010-01-21T20:58:47.946-05:002010-01-21T20:58:47.946-05:00Greg...
I really love this post. These plans look...Greg...

I really love this post. These plans look fantastic. I think you should pursue this a little more. What if, if just for fun, you came up with a few possible site schemes for all of the plans you offer-- say, a site scheme for three different size lots. More just to give your customers ideas about what they can do with a full lot, not just their house. I think these could provide really interesting results, as I imagine they would only be spurs for creative solutions for what to do with the space around these stock homes. Plus, it really would push these beyond the typical stock home by beginning to figure in more depth how they relate to the site.

Really interesting stuff. It'd be exciting to see where people go with this.Mattnoreply@blogger.com
